11/11/2022 3 Comments I need to rethink fall camping. We just got back from a camping trip off-grid which made me rethink camping in colder weather. We stayed in a cabin, so sleeping was cozy and warm, but the mornings and nights were pretty chilly. The best part about it was that the state park was practically empty. No internet service, beautiful weather, and amazing hikes, who could ask for anything more?
New projects *Today I finished up a top, a vest, and three jackets. I’ll take pictures of them tomorrow and hopefully list them in the web shop, *I chose a bunch of yarn for crochet accessories that I plan on making next week. *I’ll have many new pieces available in the web shop and at My Aunt Debbie (if you’re local) just in time for small business Saturday (November 26th). So, tell me... Does your family have a TV? I haven't chosen to watch TV since 2003 and do not miss it one bit. I am very cold turkey with stuff like that. Like when I decided I had enough with selling on Etsy and posting on Instagram. Don't get me wrong, who doesn't enjoy making money for a hobby. I just had enough, that was it. I have never wished differently. Is that how you are? I know you said this your test month to reevaluate. Did you find yourself wasting time on the computer with these apps that consume copious amounts of our time. I can't believe how much time returned to me when I cut the "fat" out.

We just bought one about two years ago so we could watch family movies together on Saturdays. It's the first tv we ever bought as adults. Before that we had hand-me-down tvs that we'd use to watch dvds and videos. People could never believe that we didn't have a tv. We limit screen time for the whole family, which can be tricky with an 11 and a 14 year old sometimes, but it's definitely worth it. Leave a Reply. |
